Case study

CISO: the city's experts, in one network

The City Innovation and Science Office connects Cluj-Napoca's experts with the problems the city wants solved. We built its public platform for the C-EDU cluster: expert sign-up, the problem sheets, events with registration and a library of studies, in Romanian and English.

Experts

Experts sign up in four steps

A guided form takes each expert from personal details to experience, review and terms. The team checks every profile before it goes public.

Problems

City problems, written down and shared

Challenges defined with citizens and local actors in co-design sessions become public problem sheets, each tagged by topic, for experts to pick up.

Events

Workshops and events, with registration

Every workshop and conference gets its own page and sign-up. Past events stay online as a record of the community's work.

What the CISO platform covers

A public platform in two languages
Every page and every content type exists in Romanian and English, with search-friendly addresses for both.
Content the team runs itself
Experts, problems, events and studies are edited by the CISO team in an admin area, with no developer in the loop.
Expert invitations
The team invites experts by email, and each invitation leads straight into the registration form.
Built for phones first
Every page and form is designed for a small screen first, then scaled up to the desktop.
